Privacy notice
This notice explains what the Cypress Grind Rider Program does with personal information. It covers the Rider Program site at riders.cypressgrind.com: the program pages, rider storefronts, the rider portal and the tools Cypress Grind staff use to run the program. It doesn't cover cypressgrind.com's other pages, or the stores where riders' customers check out and pay.
Who we are
The Rider Program is operated by EDW Ventures LLC, a Texas limited liability company, doing business as Cypress Grind Co. Questions or requests about your information: info@cypressgrindco.com.
What we collect
If you have a rider portal login
- Your email address and password. Your password is sent to our sign-in provider, Supabase, which checks and stores it. Our own database never contains it.
- The time you confirmed you're 18 or older. We don't ask for your date of birth.
- A display name, if one is added.
If you apply to the program
Your rider or brand name, your name, email, phone number if you give one, city and state, social or website links, what you sell, estimates of how much stock you'd store and how many orders you expect, where you sell now, any note you add, and the time you confirmed you're 18 or older. We email you to confirm we received it, use it to review your application, and contact you about it. Applications are kept after a decision.
If you're a rider in the program
- Your rider name, and a legal name and contact email if you give them to us.
- Your stock, orders, requests and monthly service statements. If you ask us to ship stock back to you, the return address you give.
- Everything you put on your storefront: bio, location, sponsors, social links, clip links and photos.
If you bought from a rider
When someone buys from a rider's own store, the order is sent to Cypress Grind so we can pack and ship it. We receive the recipient's name, shipping address, phone number if one was given, and the items ordered. We never receive payment card details or how much was paid. Riders see which state an order ships to, not the customer's name or address.
If you work for Cypress Grind
Your sign-in email, your staff roles, and a record of sensitive actions you take in the operations tools.
If you visit these pages
Program pages and storefronts don't ask you for information. Like any website, the servers that deliver pages and photos receive standard request information, such as your IP address and browser type.
Storefront photos
- Photos riders upload for their storefronts are stored with our storage provider, Supabase.
- Anyone who has a photo's link can view it. Photos are meant for the rider's public page.
- Before a photo is stored, we re-create the image and remove hidden details from the file, including its location (GPS), camera information and author fields.
- When a photo is deleted, its image files are deleted. A record that the photo existed stays in our activity history.
How we use information
- To review applications to the Rider Program.
- To receive, store, pack and ship riders' orders, and to handle returns.
- To run rider accounts and the rider portal.
- To prepare riders' monthly statements for Cypress Grind's services.
- To show riders' storefronts.
- To keep a record of sensitive actions, for security and accountability.
We don't use personal information for advertising. These pages have no analytics or advertising tools.
Who receives information
- Supabase, which runs our database, sign-in and photo storage.
- Resend, which delivers our emails, including sign-up confirmations, application confirmations and invitations.
- Shipping carriers, which receive the recipient name, address and, when a carrier requires it, phone number needed to deliver a package.
- The company that hosts this site, which receives standard request information when you visit.
- Anyone who views a published storefront, which shows what the rider chose to publish.
- Authorities, if the law requires us to disclose information.
We don't sell personal information.
Links to other sites
Buy links on storefronts open the rider's own store, and clip and social links open sites such as YouTube, TikTok or Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Storefronts don't load anything from video or social sites; they only link to them.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep rider portal and staff users signed in. They're set when you sign in. Program pages and storefronts don't set cookies, and we don't use tracking cookies.
How long we keep information
We haven't set fixed retention periods yet. Right now, account, order, statement and activity records are kept, and nothing is deleted automatically. Deleted storefront photos are the exception described above.
Your choices
- Riders can change their storefront, photos and photo descriptions in the rider portal at any time.
- To ask for a copy of your information, a correction or deletion, contact us at info@cypressgrindco.com.
Adults only
The Rider Program is for adults. Everyone with a rider portal login confirms they're 18 or older, and the program isn't directed at children.
How we protect information
Customer shipping details are visible only to Cypress Grind staff. Each rider's information is available only to that rider's team and Cypress Grind staff, and that limit is enforced in the database. Sensitive staff actions are recorded in a log that can't be edited.
